I'm gonna make this better as soon as I find a template I like, but for now deal with it don't mind my mess. I have three characters currently: Solona, Nehari, and Alana. Below are very brief descriptions about them. I'll expand soon. Solona Amell - thirty-three years old. mage. was at kinloch hold until the mage x templar war. then went to tevinter. recently returned south. Nehari - twenty year old dalish cutie. ranger. wild and freeeeeeeeeeeee. Alana Snowborn- thirty year old grey warden. avaar x ferelden. gets the job done while making fun of you. They need everything so gimmie plots.

part of me wanted to make a pretty post reply template but then the lazy half won
solona sounds like type of person who cyrlan would genuinely want to learn from, with her prowess with the elements and everything. despite being coined a 'capable mage' he lacks the sort of finesse and grace someone trained would have and kinda just wings everything. in light of losing his arm and everything that control hasn't really improved and if the opportunity arises, he'd probably ask for advice. of course, there's also the fact that he can just yammer on about theories of magic and whatnot?? just like, bond over a mutual love for magic or something.
dalish buddies!! there's also the part where she's possibly joining the inquisition (which is a huge A+ in his books) so they've got to thread together some time. honestly, cyrlan really misses his clan and the general dalish life, and if she ever has stories to tell he'd be all to willing to listen. also, i read the part about the vallaslin and was thinking, cyrlan was previously the clan's first before the entire conclave thing happened and i think firsts are trained on how to apply vallaslin? he would offer (even in light of the entire solas thing bc no matter what they were before, the dalish have reclaimed them) though it'd be different bc every clan has their own unique ways of applying the vallaslin. also, his own vallaslin is also sylaise so idk she could comment on that?? (weeps bc i'm too lazy to photoshop anything onto his fc so just imagine okay)
i read alana's application and they seem to have a few familiar traits we can work with! first off, there's the love for animals and ahhh cyrlan would just be content to sit in the company of said critters for days on end bc what's not to love? he's got a dalish all-bred and an arlathan hart of his own, but has yet to get a mabari (as much as he wants one) or any other non-mount pet. please let them go rescue tiny animals or something. they both seem to always want to help, along with a considerable amount of snark (more on alana's side than his, he's 80% bad puns and humor) so they can somehow ending up doing the same good deed while having fun banter, who knows??
feel free to add/subtract as you like but basically i'd love plots with all bc they're all fantastic characters ahhhh why are people so creative

AIGHT. SO.
I really want my baby Vincent to meet Nehari? He needs friends his age and he loves to explore places so maybe they can get into some trouble together.
Maybe he could chat with Solona a bit about Tevinter, too??? idk.
Also Dorian should meet Solona. Talk about magic n shit.

pie - I'm lazy too. I get it. I like all of your ideas honestly, and I don't think that I have much to add right now. For now. I think that the only one around Skyhold currently is Nehari, but she's happy to get out there whenever you'd like a thread. Cass - I really wanted Vincent and Nehari to meet. It might take him some time to get used to her, but it would be interesting to see how they develop.

An idea that I have is that Kieran and Nehari could have known one another as children. When she and her remaining clan-members were taken in by the Inquisition, and Kieran followed his mother to Skyhold when her services were given to the Inquisiton. His "odd" mannerisms might have left Nehari thinking him a little too strange to want to spend any time with him, but a ten-year-old Kieran would have really wanted to have at least one friend whilst his mother was busy "helping the Inquisitor." And Nehari being Dalish would have only made Kieran want to be around her all the more, as I imagine Kieran would have been taught all manner of Elven and Dalish culture from both of his parents.
He would have been a sweet kid, all too ready to follow Nehari's lead like a lovesick puppy, only occasionally souring things by thoughtlessly spouting cryptic commentary now-and-then. Maybe even defying his mother's wishes for him to apply himself to his studies on human, elvish and magical history just so he could play about like an ordinary kid. I imagine that if Nehari ever mentioned how her clan had to leave Ferelden to escape the Fifth Blight, Kieran would have apologized and, rather than explain why he was sorry, he'd have given her flower-crowns and cookies and other sweet but slightly odd gifts.
He would have been really upset when his mother had the both of them leave Skyhold. Likely, he would have continued his dorkiness by getting Nehari to swear with him that they'd one day meet one another again.
And then eight years later, Kieran's returned as promised. But he's drastically different. Colder, less approachable. But he'd still be quick to recognize his old Dalish friend. And maybe a hint of the old Kieran is still visible in his crooked smile.
They could pick up their old friendship where they left up, though it could be testing at times. With their personalities as they are now, Nehari seems like fire and Kieran like ice. Still, as much as he might find her boisterous attitude infuriating at times, Kieran would deeply care about Nehari. He'd be well-meaning. Protective. And some part of him would want to stay in her company for as long as he could. However, if Nehari means to commit to the Inquisition, time could be against them.
I think Nehari could be a presence that reminds Kieran that he is human, and that maybe, just maybe, he needn't commit himself to the path that Morrigan originally set-about for him to walk, to act the martyr for the elven people. Kieran could also still be in awe of her, however, it's perfectly fine if you'd rather his attraction remain one-sided. MADE BY ★MEULK If Alana belongs to the Grey Warden order of Ferelden, then there's a strong likelihood that she's familiar with Kieran. His dad is sort of her boss. Maybe the first time she hears about the Warden Commander's son is from the Hero himself, as throughout Kieran's late childhood and early adolescence both father and son communicated quite often through letters. But then suddenly a fourteen-year-old Kieran pops up out of nowhere in the fortress, being there just to "see his father." And those strange visits happen more and more often from then on.
Maybe Alana's fortunate enough that she witnesses just how Kieran "travels" so effectively. An owl or a raven flies into the room and then changes into a human male teenager.
I can see Kieran liking Alana, if only because they both share a love for animals. But Kieran is also much more patient, even verging on respectful, towards Grey Wardens than he is towards most people. He respects what the Order stands for, the sacrifices that they make. After all, if not for the Order, Kieran would likely not be the person that he currently is. Maybe he'd be whatever archdemons/old gods actually are, still sleeping dormant in the earth?

Domino, I really love both of these! I'm studying for an exam right now, so excuse how short this will be, but I really like your ideas. I'm looking forward to getting a thread up with Kieran. Maybe Kieran and Nehari first? If only because she's always ready to poke her head out. If you want to hammer out the details some more that's fine with me. Once my exam is out of the way I should be around to work on it.
@kieran, so I think that I'm at a place where starting a thread wouldn't kill me if you'd like one? I'll probably stick up a thread with Nehari at or around Skyhold. Feel free to join in. Unless you have your own ideas about how you'd like the thread to go, of course. Just let me know!

Ah, sorry for how long it's taken me to getting around to giving you a reply. But I would be more than happy to have Kieran join in any thread involving Nehari. Unfortunately, I'm leaving the country on the 12th and won't be back until the 21st, but once I am back I'd love to finally have these two interact with one another doing everything and anything.
