not quite as memorable as people would expect, cyrlan has the type of face one would allow to pass unnoticed in a crowd, should he choose to do so. most recognisable features consist solely of the vallaslin and prosthetic arm; his armor is often unremarkable or of dalish make, and most would write him off as just another adventurous elf.[break][break]

which he is, to some extent. though he is also the inquisitor, of course.[break][break]

people pay more attention to the name than the elf himself, though trouble has eased away and his name carries less weight than before. it's just a few more syllables used in extravagant bardic tales, often with odd details lost or added. [break][break]

he's not particularly concerned about that, instead preferring to bury himself in research of elven history, or tinker with hybrid melds of magic, spurred on by "recent" developments. with the inquisition as a peacekeeping force, he can also be found brokering peace between various groups, doing his part in ushering in a new chapter.[break][break]

amiable by nature, cyrlan has amassed a number of friendly acquaintances. not one to turn down a plea from those in need, he relives a slightly toned-down version of the inquisition's height by extending a helping hand where he can. still, his closest friends tend to lie within this organisation he has helped revive.[break][break]

he makes frequent rounds around skyhold, as though sheer willpower alone is able to bind them together all the more. so far, he thinks it's working pretty well. while a shadow of its former self, his charitable activities have turned it into some sort of stone-walled haven for those who need help.

caught up in a whirlwind of events ever since his talent for the arcane arts revealed itself, cyrlan has scarcely had time to pursue such matters. despite claiming to have little experience in romantic affairs, some rumors tend to veer in an opposite direction. cyrlan staunchly refuses to disclose any names, no matter how often he may be asked.

despite wanting to solve problems diplomatically, and even having a reputation as a merciful inquisitor, cyrlan still has the tendency to solve problems by stabbing them through the chest. by all means, it's extremely effective, but often earns him more enemies than he is aware of. [break][break]

by virtue of being elven or a mage, he may not be the crowd favourite. he may lead the chantry's peacekeeping forces, yet he looks upon his own beliefs ( recently shattered, an incident that leaves him rather conflicted ). yet most hated is those that treat the inquisition as a thing of the past; they may not command the sea of armies they once had, but their blades are still as sharp as ever.
