Denerim is the capital of Ferelden as well as an arling of the kingdom. Denerim is also considered a holy city to worshippers of Andraste, as it is the place of her birth. Home of both nobility and the common people, this sprawling city has much to offer the adventurer, with its market place, magic shops, armorers and bordellos.

Lothering is a village in Ferelden just off the Imperial Highway, at the edge of the Hinterlands, north of Ostagar and south of the Bannorn. It was destroyed during the Fifth Blight, but has since been rebuilt.

Therinfal Redoubt is a fortress in Ferelden which formerly served as a training facility for the Seekers of Truth, but was abandoned due to lack of finances. The Red Templars set up here for a while but have since been defeated. It is largely abandoned and considered dangerous due to the amount of red lyrium that still exists there.

In 9:41 Dragon, the Order of Fiery Promise, overthrew Bann Loren and seized Caer Oswin as their new headquarters. With the aid of Lucius Corin, the cult lured members of the Seekers of Truth and ambushed them to prevent them from getting involved in conflict with Corypheus. It was cleared out by the Inquisition and is currently in the hands of the Seekers.

By magic, each cup of water was forged into a single ring of the mail armor the Circle gave to Calenhad.

Amaranthine is an arling that spans along the sinuous northeastern coast of Ferelden.

The Hinterlands comprises a good deal of fertile agricultural land and as such is populated with a great many farmsteads throughout the area. Between the undead during the Fifth Blight and demons, mages, templars, and red templars during the Breach, many residents have moved elsewhere.

The Brecilian Forest is a large forest in south-eastern Ferelden.

The Korcari Wilds are a cold southern expanse of forest and swamp, the extent of which is not truly known. Its native Chasind Wilders tell of a wasteland of snow and ice further to the south, filled only with desolate tundra and nomadic barbarians.
